The Shoreham Allstars are
a unique group of talented and motivated young musicians aged 7-18 based in Shoreham-by-Sea who work together as
part of a strong collective of like-minded young people. The aim of the Shoreham Allstars collective is to give young people
a platform to show and develop their skills and creativity in music and to support them while they learn.
The Allstars was set
up by RGT registered guitar tutor David O'Connell as a means to give his students the opportunity to experience playing
in large well established venues that would not normally accept very young bands. The plan was that, because the Shoreham
Allstars could present itself as a musically diverse collective made up of young people who have played many gigs in the past,
they would be more readily accepted into large prestigious venues than young solo acts/bands would be.
Due to a combination of David’s persistence, support from parents, the Allstars
bands’energy and talent and venue owners’ willingness to take a risk, the collective now finds itself in the position
of having a full years worth of regular guaranteed shows for its members in established live venues as well as opportunities
to write and record their own music in a world-class recording studio.
This
site exists to promote the members of the Allstars collective as live musicians and budding songwriters as
well as encouraging and inspiring other young creative people to become part of the collective.
